WHAT IS PERSON-CENTRED LEADERSHIP?

Person-centred leadership is about creating optimal conditions for the people in an organisation to thrive and grow together. It is evidence-based and grounded in psychological research on what creates lasting development and change. To put it plainly:

Person-centred leadership is based on what we know actually works.

It is a humanistic and comprehensive approach that meets modern challenges where traditional, transactional models fall short.

Components

In person-centred leadership development, you learn about:

Personality and personal characteristics: Getting to know your own patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviour, as well as your unique characteristics, strengths, weaknesses and pitfalls.
Affect consciousness and emotional regulation: Recognising and understanding your own reactions and feelings, and being able to regulate and communicate them in a professional context.
Relational competencies: Meeting others as fellow human beings, listening actively, and communicating acceptance, sensitivity, empathy, warmth and genuineness.
"The working alliance": Being able to establish, maintain and repair constructive working relationships by negotiating and renegotiating agreement on goals, tasks and relationships.
Contexts: Actively engaging with both the immediate and broader contexts around tasks, teams and colleagues, and grounding your leadership in the opportunities and constraints they present.
Organisational culture: Fostering the development of healthy organisational culture and preventing fear, hidden agendas and politics in the workplace.

Who is it for?

Person-centred leadership is suited to managers with staff responsibility, teams and leadership groups. There are no requirements for prior knowledge or experience as a leader. All programmes are tailored to participants, and the tools you learn are immediately applicable.

SERVICES

I offer the following services based on person-centred leadership. The services are tailored to you, your role, your team or leadership group.

Individual leadership coaching: Individual sessions over a chosen period, with follow-up sessions afterwards.
Coaching groups for leadership teams: Includes group sessions and individual conversations over a period, with follow-up sessions afterwards.
Courses and lectures: I offer courses in person-centred leadership for small and large leadership groups. The course consists of four parts and covers the components of person-centred leadership. It can be divided up and delivered in different formats.

Confidentiality

I am bound by a duty of confidentiality, and what is said in sessions with me stays between us. In organisational work it may be appropriate for certain information to be shared with others in the organisation. This must be regulated at the point of agreement, and requires written consent from the individual concerned. Identifiable information I receive about the organisation is never shared without written consent. As with all confidentiality, exceptions apply — for example where there is risk to life. Individual bookings require login and registration of personal details.
All bookings are binding. For cancellation terms, see below.
Payment is by invoice sent after the session.

Cancellation

Appointments may generally be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance, excluding weekends and public holidays. After that, the full fee applies. If I have availability, I'm happy to make an exception. Get in touch as soon as possible via the messaging service in Konfidens.

Teams, organisations and courses

I offer tailored programmes for leadership teams and organisations. This includes coaching groups, courses and seminars. Get in touch for more information.

Location

Individual sessions take place at my office or online. Courses and tailored programmes for teams and organisations can be held at the organisation's premises, given suitable facilities.

I'm based at Frysja in Oslo. There is easy access by bus and car, and it is also reachable by tram and train with a slightly longer walk.

The premises are right next to the Akerselva river and its beautiful walking path. If the opportunity arises, I strongly recommend adding half an hour to walk from Nydalsdammen. Maybe you'll spot the beavers? (I've yet to see them...)

The buildings have a lift and are accessible for people with reduced mobility. It is a goods lift with somewhat heavy doors, so please get in touch in advance if you need assistance on arrival.

Bus: The 54 and 25 buses stop nearby at Frysja or Stillatorvet.; Walking distance 3–5 minutes.
Tram: Trams 12, 15 and 17 stop at the end station Kjelsås.; Walking distance 15 minutes.
Train: Train lines RE30 and R31 (Gjøvikbanen) stop at Kjelsås station.; Walking distance 11 minutes.
Car: Easy access by car.; Plenty of paid parking on site.; Visitors for golf sessions may park free of charge in Custom Golf's spaces nearest the river, upon registration at the tablet in their reception.
